Canine Influenza vaccine is now available at our clinic as the disease has now been confirmed in Missouri. We are recommending that our canine patients receive this vaccine to prevent the spread of this serious disease. It is biologically called H3N8, which brings to mind H1N1 that many have heard of in humans. The canine version of this is not transmissible to or from people, but is very contagious between unvaccinated dogs.
