Appointments

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Routine Surgeries and Procedures

Dr. Eichler is a skilled surgeon, and can perform spay/neuter, declaw, puppy ear cropping (for specific breeds), tumor/lump removals, and cuterebra removal, as well as other surgeries. Our surgical team includes educated and degreed technicians whose compassion and skill will set you at ease when you choose to leave your pet with us for surgery. No pet is left alone while being prepped for surgery, during surgery, or during their recovery period.

We offer affordable cat neuters for $100.00, and our staff is happy to give you an estimate for any other surgical procedures, whether elective or necessary.

All pets have to be current on vaccinations and flea preventatives prior to being admitted to Community Animal Hospital.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 6 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Grooming by Appointment

Our groomer, Sandy Mente, has extensive experience grooming both dogs and cats. She apprenticed for roughly 2 years at Community Animal Hospital, at our former location in Bridgeton, under a master groomer in Bridgeton, before becoming the top groomer for Dr Eichler. Since then, she has developed quite a following, and continues to see regular and new clients for their grooming needs. All of our baths include a nail trim, ear cleaning/plucking, and anal gland expression. Sandy has a wide variety of experience with cats and dog grooming from poodles to schnauzers, to the large breeds, including a total body shave-down, and uses soap-free shampoos that won't irritate sensitive skin. Whether just for a touch-up, a complete doggy make-over, or a whole body grooming, consider having your pet bathed, conditioned, and groomed with us! Community Animal Hospital accepts payment via cash, check, MasterCard, or Visa. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.

We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
